Any revenues generated through donations will be used to support this website and maintaining the Chain of Life Network® Database. Phone consultations to address your specific questions – Schedule a phone consultation with George by e-mail or phone. The cost is free or a donation of your choice that can be made after the consultation.
Subject and Crop Searches – Contact Dr. Staby and explain the subjects and/or crops of interest, being as specific as possible. He will search numerous databases to locate applicable information and/or articles, articles he will then share with you by providing copies (if copyright regulations are not violated) and/or links to where the articles can be obtained. The cost is free or a donation of your choice.
Webinars – You can request webinar presentations by Dr. Staby designed to address your specific needs. Some of the subjects that could be covered include consumer expectations, production factors that influence postharvest flower/plant quality, cold chain management, precooling, transportation modes, packaging, ethylene physiology and control, growth regulators, water relations, dry vs. wet handling, Botrytis (grey mold) control, flower food, hydration solutions, and/or storage. The cost per Webinar is a $150 donation.
Workshops / Programs (for non-profit organizations, schools, and universities) – The cost for such workshops / programs is reimbursement for out-of-pocket travel-related expenses for Dr. Staby and his wife Kathleen and a donation of your choice.
Workshops / Programs (commercial entities) – The cost for such workshops / programs is reimbursement for out-of-pocket travel-related expenses for Dr. Staby and his wife Kathleen as well as a $500 donation per program lasting up to one day.
Visitations (for non-profit organizations, schools, and universities) – The cost for such visitations is reimbursement for out-of-pocket travel-related expenses for Dr. Staby and his wife Kathleen and a donation of your choice.
Visitations (commercial entities) – The cost for such visitations is reimbursement for out-of-pocket travel-related expenses for Dr. Staby and his wife Kathleen as well as a donation of $500 per day while onsite.
PRO Institutes – PRO Institutes are intensive floral crops care, handling, and marketing programs that emphasize practical and scientifically based procedures to improve the postharvest performance and consumer satisfaction of cut flowers, potted, and bedding plants. The format includes lectures, discussions, hands-on demonstrations, tests, and networking with the addition of tours when possible. Programs generally last 2.5 days, however, shorter versions from a few hours to one day are possible. Fees vary depending on location, format, and length.

Check – Your check in US funds drawn on a US bank should be made payable to Perishables Research Organization and sent to George Staby, 7908 Dearne Way, Elk Grove, CA 95757. Make sure you include your name and e-mail address.
Bank wire transfer – Please contact George to obtain the codes and account information.
